2021 Ohio State & Mid-Ohio Meet / Tournament
Friday & Saturday, August 20th and August 21st 
(Usually Scheduled on third Friday & Saturday of  August)

Richard Beckwith & Crist Miller will merging the Ohio State Tournament with the popular Amish Checker Meet. The tournament will be held in the large building on the right side of Crist & Rosanna Miller's home at 10250 S. Kansas Road, Fredericksburg, Ohio 44627 (Scenic Valley Supply LLC) map, on Friday & Saturday, August 20th and 21st. Donation / entry fee is $30. Registration opens at 12:00 pm (noon / lunch), and we will begin at 1:00 pm the afternoon of the 20th, continuing into Saturday. This year we play 3-Move.  We will play 8 total round of Swiss with 4 round Friday and 4 round Saturday, with play starting at 8:00 am Saturday.  We will play two classes if enough players. Masters playing Maters will use clock to keep round from exceeding 2 hours.  Snacks & drinks provided, with free breakfast and lunch on Saturday. High finisher will be recognized as Ohio State Champion and wins a donated craft item.  There is a newer Sleep Inn Hotel in Mt. Hope area about 4 miles away (https://mthopesleepinn.com/). Congratulations to Alex Moiseyev, who has won this state title every year that it was played, beginning in 2003 (and also won this tournament three additional times prior as a PA resident). Tournament was 8 rounds of Swiss at 3-Move, and Masters used clocks and recorded games.

$500 in prizes were awarded. Special thanks to our donors Joe McDaniel ($300), Bill Schumann ($100), Rich Beckwith ($100) and to host Crist & Rosanna Miler who arranged a wall clock prize and great food for the players.
